Crescent Tide

Copper sheet cut and hammered to shape and texture. Copper wire bent and twisted and textured. Chain (not made by me   ) Wet packed Enameled copper bezeled and soldered bezel on then set enameled piece. I free handed the design in the wet packing so that I didn't have to focus on the details and it could be more abstract/simplified. The copper was dipped a couple times in liver of sulfur for a few seconds each time to give it the color it is. Love the slight rainbow effect, granted it tried to rub off so I played with that and dunked it once again after I rubbed a little off.  

This was a fun project. I am depressed I am not able to take metals next semester  for it didn't fit into my schedule however I am looking forward to returning in the future. I feel this is one of my strongest pieces.  I have been wanting to make a piece for the hair for a while now that would embody my character secretly somehow. Granted she is present in body not referenced as I would have liked it, but I am still learning how to reference loosely  

Suinarra is a sea elf character of mine that wears her hair up most of the time due to its length and wavy nature, mostly in a bun. So I originally wanted to be a replica of her bun stick that was in the shape of a long spiral shell. But due to my lack of carving skills that hasn't been possible "yet"  . Her piece has a dangle to it and I really wanted to incorporate that piece of scrap as a dangle. 

Also if you can think of a better name I am open to suggestions
